Technologically Reawakening Culture or Excellence (TRACE) a private sector-led non-profit promoting technology and innovation in Sri Lanka along with the Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC), and Without Borders, a grassroots social enterprise that works on designing novel education and training models for the local education sector, have collaborated to bring together their strengths in both technological innovation and in-depth grassroots research to rethink the local education space in Sri Lanka.
Without Borders will be utilizing the state of art spaces at TRACE Expert City to bring in teachers and young changemakers from across their projects to be trained and connected with creative tools and techniques that will help them stretch and broaden their thinking patterns.
The organizations will also collaborate on exposure visits to TRACE Expert City, one of the foremost innovation parks in the country, and the SLTC campus. The exposure visits are targeted at students from outstation areas interested in pursuing technology-based courses in their further studies.
Through this partnership the organizations are hoping to build awareness amongst the youth and encourage them to pursue careers in high growth sectors such as IT, creating a knowledge-based economy in Sri Lanka.
